I think I officially fell in love with The Talking Heads.
My stomach is aching, I'm sick, but I can't stop laughing.

David Byrne is an absolute genius.
I've realized that so many vocalists that have some sort of disorder, or are just plain insane and different in what they do, are some of the best. Whether they freak out and shake as dancing on stage, or . . . write the most random lyrics ever. Or change their voice to a very low tone when they sing. Or dress in drag. Or run all over the stage and jump and climb on things. Or they look like a complete mess. The ones that stand out. And you can just look at their face, and sometimes, it's totally blank, no expression, like what they're doing is totally normal to them or something.
These people have to my heroes, of course.

They seem to give me confidence in doing whatever the hell I want . . . music-wise, on stage. Going insane. It's bloody brilliant.

I know, I might be the only one that thinks this. I am insane, and I like insane things that usually confuse people, and constantly think of theories and obsess over random things, but at least I can realize these things about myself . . .


I went to the doctors today about my stomach. I've been off school for a week - wow, record.

David Byrne doesn't strike me as insane at all. He is a SuperArtist who taps into, and expresses the seriousness/goofiness of life. His straight-face is as much a contradictory anti-symbol as Robert Smith's cupie-doll make-up or Amanda Palmer's stitched eyebrows: "look at me/don't stare at me" and all that. Inner balance, blessed relief & even happiness(!) CAN be achieved through creative expression.
Same as it ever was... same as it ever was... same as it ever was...

Oo, and you are definitely not alone, I LIVE for insane musicians.. they are definitely a great thing obsess over!

I love the Talking Heads soo much!!
David definitely is one of a kind... and a huge genius! He went to like art school and stuff...
I getcha.. its much more interesting when singers are insane like that!
